welcome to the world of cyborgs / Cybertrauma / cyborgs no-bore
Pros(e) and (a)kons
Technically speaking or in rhetoric, its the hard pressed, soft nosed, 3D effectual cyborg, out there in the open space, closed corridors or in an animated environment, ready to lash out on other felons, whether be its the hunter version, the so called FPS, or the more recent team events of attacks, and counter attacks, the games are to enliven the spirit of challenging the very existence of self, against the oddities offered in the game. These vivacious experiences gives us the vicarious thrills, out of watching the man with the golden(or rather just another metallic) gun, all in the control at our fingertips. Blood oozing, heart pumping, mind racing, these scintillating experiences, could be conveniently had in the very own living rooms, or in the cybercentres, where the identity seldom matters to the player on the screen, rather than considering how old, its considered how odd, is the game to be played. The more the actions, sure are the excitement and pressure. Forms in life on screen, or lifeless robots, or the so called bots, to be instantly vanished out of single sniping, or a multi shot, is surely giving all that a youth wants, often challenging himself for the more difficult levels, and more often reaching a godlike mode from the initial novice type. If game is belived to be religion, then the person playing extremely well has sacrosanct existence among his peers. These not only does help him challenge in real life in realistic situations, but gives him a good coordination of his body parts in tandem with that of the movement of the players on screen.
The technicalities being made for the pleasure of homosapiens, the repercussions are manifold. While one aspect of it is entertainment, the other one being the ugly side of the game. Along with inducing the good spirit of challenging, it also imbibes in itself the habit of bullying around or who gives a d**m attitude. How often would a man think before, the learnings offered by the game. The probability being one in very very much. This would be akin to asking, to look for a needle in a haystack. After all, man is a social animal, with more intelligence than the most, and have to understand the very basic design that the game was made for, and the purpose for its existence, being only mere pleasure, and co-ordination, amidst some entertainment. This transforms into taking only the pleasure part and leaving behind the sulking, and the bullying variant of the learning, offered by the same play.

kumara parvatha-trip cum trek cum picnic,
Here I sit with my ass half burnt and half alive, with the trek that was just now finished. I really shouldnt have sat and typing this blog out, but I still have some last ounce of energy to narrate what was truly blissful.
It was then, that the idea of going out for days together that cropped up after discussion, and debates(besides threats and warning, by those, who were too lazy to burn their ass in sun). It was later decided that to move our daily torturous routines to something new and refreshing. It was indeed yes, refreshing, and more than what we had asked for, it truly rejuvenated us too.
The plan was to decide among places to trek and then, it was pushed further, since there was sincere request from my side to make it more adventurous that I asked for. Thus, laying the first stepping stone for our grand journey, journey that was so memorable to cherish, that was so treacherous to be unbelievable, and that was indeed so arduous but beautifully executed later on. So, here it goes.......
Life is not just about sitting in the cubicle and experiencing only virtual world. But, it is more than that to experience in the real world. We as a group, decided to trek this great peak, called KumaraParvata. I had only heard, and might have seen the pictures and blogs written by the experienced, but to truly experience their experience, we have to experience the experienced. Then we can realise the experience of the experienced(sorry for the experience, but it couldnt have be framed in a better way).
Well, it all started from our heart of Bangalore(KBS, aka Majestic), where we had decided to meet at 7:15pm, but as per the Indian standard timing, we as Indians respect the timing, and
our group has always kept to their words of rushing in last minute. Pramod, the trek organizer, arrived at 7:30, waiting at the entrance for others to arrive. Since, there was no time to purchase the garland, he greeted others with warm regards for arriving on time, Sujith was waiting inside the bus stand, and slowly others too joined in. (we were six of us, Pramod, the organizer, Manjunath aka Manja, Kaustub, Venkat Kishore, Sujith Seth, and Ravi, thats myself, the blog writer with half burnt and half cooked ass, but still alive).
The bus had to be departed to Kukke first, since we had decided to trek from Subramanya side, and it was kept in dark that the route was more treacherous, but I didnt complain for the choice that was made already, since I wasnt aware of the experience of trekking, and it was my first trek, including Kaustub's. Some of our friends came for bidding good byes for the nice journey, and with good start we departed for the memorable journey.
The bus halted in Kukke, at 4am in the morning, which we are sometimes used to cause of our workload in office, which lands us to our house at that time after work. But no complaints too this time, since we got to use all the basic needs as the first hands, since others devotees were busy snoring and making weird sounds most of the time, through different outlets, we finished unloading, and went to bath in the lake, it was nice experience as there were no one to restrict us, nor was there any one to control us. We took bath or rather we played in water, whichever, and went for the darshan. We waited in the queue, and then the beautiful experience of watching the lord after the first pooja in the temple. Indeed we were really lucky that day in most of the things. The timing couldnt have been more perfect than that. We took snaps outside and then had to fill in our store house, so we hogged on till our stomach were fully filled to set out for the first ever such journey.
Here we set out, in the name of god, for an awesome and enriching experience of our life. Experience that one
can seldom forget in his lifetime. There was more humidity than expected, and got the sweat out for even the walk for an inch. Initially we decided, we would take the break for every certain distance, but finally every one had to give in for every 200m. We couldn't bear the humidity and sweat, and changed into shorts. We were steady and took breaks inbetween, but we had the josh, the energy for reaching the peak, atleast it was assumed, and it worked. Food was ordered in Bhattara Mane(which has become a buzz word now, for all the trekkers who have been there).
We had reserved most of the foodie for the next part of the trek, but we had to empty some of the things inbetween, sugar candys, glucon, lemon juice, all were consumed to much of our relief. The incidence which kept us alive and going was, a Man, coming from down, with just 25Kgs of rice on his shoulder, not walking but hopping most of the times, climbing like we would have done without any luggage. Finally, upon looking at him, we decided no more breaks till certain long distances. We continued, and trekked with fun filled journey, narrating stories of other experiences, and counting our food items most of the time. Atlast we gave up, needed a desperate break, we hogged on to cucumber and cola break, it was an awesome combination, solid with a liquid touch, splash of water added to rejoice and invigorate our energy. We came across elephant dungs, just thinking how on earth would any elephant climb those steep hills. Thinking that, gave us hopes and thus we set out again, with full of energy, sometimes taking short cuts with steep hills inbetween, and at other times, just looking at the path, bending the head and carrying out our journey. But it was most delightful to take the snaps, of solos and groups in various styles, makes and in various places, that even the established models wouldnt have done. Yes, we were more than models at that moment.
Finally, we found the directions for Bhattara Mane, we called him up to make sure that we were on the right path, since no one had more energy to fight if a wrong path was to be chosen.
And we did reach the Bhattara mane, where we had warm welcome with nice words. We got the sign of relief, and refreshed ourselves, had a sumptuous meal to fill in our stomach, and rested a while, and some of us even had bath in that cold water, which was so pure that, drinking itself would fill our minds with freshness. It was there that we met six of other group, whom we never thought would become so close to us that we would believe that we knew them for so many years. They set out little early, and we just bid them goodbyes for a happy journey, in the hope that we might cross our routes somewhere. We did indeed cross our routes at later point somewhere along this tracherous, arduous but awesome memorable journey(and these fellows aptly named Sachin, Ravindra, Raghavendra, Rajesh, Ashok, Ganesh).
Yes, we set out on the path that many have already treaded before. But the first hand experience is totally different and exhilarating than hearing from others. You got to be in it, to win it.
True indeed. we took out all our worries of everday life and had set out for a path for total change, and for the much needed rejuvination for the tattered and battered souls. Eventhough we had burned our asses, it was fun, left ass as usual not right, and the right one was no longer left. But, all in all it was ful fun and frolic all the way, amid much fatigue and aches.
Here we set out again, bidding goodbye to "Bhattaru". Along the route we came across the view point, from where the beautiful scenaries could be seen, captured to cherish those moments forever. Scenaries that were much greener than the ones shown in "lord of the rings", and much neater and cooler.
We caught glimpse of those far away, taking the routes, and to our astonishment we thought that we saw "people from venus". And in the hopes of catching up with them, we took hurried steps, but to our bad luck or due to our terrible good luck, we caught six of the other group, later realizing that some of them looked like other species from far, when viewed at greater distance. Well, we joined hands together and continued the trek, stoppin inbetween to transfer the items from the bag to our respective stomach, in the hopes of maintaing the total weight of the body plus the backpack. Atlast it was around 5, that it was little bit cloudy, and we had to rush to catch the glimpse of sunset, which everybody were waiting like desparate housewives to dance in its glory. Well, we did reached the top, but it was too late, fog had covered the surrounds, and we couldnt even see the adjacent peaks, and alas, that we had to forego catching the glimplse of sunset. Anyways, no issue, since we had reached the peak, and to our amusement, it was more exhilarating to see the summit, than to wait for the sunset. But, disappointment waited for us in stores. Reaching the peak was a totally different feeling, and later realizing that we had to reach another adjacent peak which was named Kumara Parvata, but since it was already too late, we couldnt proceed due to poor light and dense jungle, but above all, the height of that peak from distant view, scared us all, since we already were exhausted like hell thou the place was heaven. We decided to rest in the same peak.
Then it started, some of the guys went searching for woods, some of us, were napping in the office style(sitting but sleeping), others were ready for the meals and unpacking the food items. The campfire was lit, and we had to prepare the food.
Some of us had got bread, others ready to eat meals, and our group had got maggie. How on earth were we supposed to cook, when we were just supposed to just eat and sleep. No, it was sheer fun, cooking in indian style, our Pramod who had got cup noodles and packet noodles, started preparing. Once and twice failed, but got the hold atlast. It was nice to eat in front of campfire, cooked by us, served by us, and atlast eaten by us. Life is good in jungle with good food, but its just the mood to soothe us dudes.
well, it was just the beginning of the beginning, couldnt have guessed it would have been an auspicious beginning of our great friendship of us dudes.
Anyways, the next morning, we started, by burning out the campfire, and then packing our backpacks, set out again to reach the summit this time, even with hardships, enduring the pain of the previous day. It was the curiosity that kept the pace, still wanting to reach the peak, and inbetween the steepy slopes, thick jungle, green canopy, and we perfect strangers to the place, walked as though we were the king of the jungles( luckily, we didnt get to encounter with other creatures of earth, other than we homosapiens).
Atlast, we reached near the summit, sporting the board,
directing us to the peak, quoting 0 km,(logically it was still some meters away, who cares anyway). there we saw the life's most beautiful scenaries, and gloomy cloud, sunny above but cool below the peak, we captured those to cherish those moments of life.
LIFE is complete bliss only when seen at right angles, cause the beauty lies in the way that we see, not in the way that it actually is. So, its better to be positively foolish, than to be negatively intelligent.
Then we set out to hog on, counting on whatever items we had got. Everything was utilized in the most efficient way possible.
Our counterparts shared their share of food, and we did ours, mixing both to work out to the best of the combination, we prepared sandwitch(even those were involved who never had to go to kitchen to cook), we did prepare cold coffee(with all flavours mixed, but nobody complained this time). it was delicious thou, where every soul was hungry, didnt care whether it was hygenic or not. Only thing that mattered was food, even the grime on the hands, would add to the taste of the food. We hogged, and hogged, various food items, in true Indian style, often quoting "Maneyalli coffee kudiyuvudu sukhavalla, idu sukha"(drinking coffee in house is not happiness, this is happiness, yes indeed this was life), We didnt expect that we would fill our stomach to fullest, rather our image was that everyone of us would return like hungry souls, ready to eat anything later. We savoured every bite that we bit, masticating happily looking at each other and posing for snaps inbetween. Our counterparts had got onions to continue their ritual during every trek(dont ask me what it is, its a guarded secret between our groups). Later, we rested awhile.
We continued again, this time downhill was too easy to step down, we descended faster than we had anticipated. since the slopes were favouring us in good sense that we didnt have to put in much effort, but just needed to be careful thou. We did encounter "specie from venus"(its known by the nature of venus,->very, hot indeed), clean from top to bottom, appreciative enough that we got to take the snaps, to our astonishment, we were sweating like pigs, and that specie didnt even have a droplet of sweat. We were wondering how, throughout our descend, often discussing that some creations in this universe are true creations of god. Setting it aside, we had got little bit ounce of energy charged up, full set to complete the rest of the journey back. Inbetween, some photo sessions, weird faces, different poses, various styles, in different angles, all shots called first to check for the later shots, some were even timer set, but all in all, it was trek cum picknic cum travel cum etc.. It was truely memorable.
Atlast, we came across the hanging bridge to mark the end of our journey started from kukke to somwarpet. after unpacking again, we set for second innings of sumptuous meal, it was clean, direct to the heart rather than the stomach, cause it was soothing heart, this time stomach savouring every bit, but the reactions to be seen on face. We again hogged to various items, we had been raw in some sense, had to be, since we had trekked that great peak, when looked back, wondered whether we actually trekked that place or just watching it from far. Some of the most memorable moments of life is short term memory loss, but its recorded in long term memory, to cherish it forever.
